A complete restoration of a period estate cottage, taking the building back to a high standard inside and out while protecting everything that gives it its character.

Externally the original sandstone, brickwork and decorative clay tile hanging were all retained and repaired, with new windows and doors fitted to match the original openings and a new gravel path and stone patio laid to finish the setting.

Inside, Two Build fitted a bespoke hand painted shaker kitchen with solid oak worktops and a traditional Belfast sink, and created two new bathrooms including a cast iron roll top bath, tongue and groove panelling and a walk in shower. Solid oak plank doors with traditional ironmongery were hung throughout, and the sloping attic bedrooms were fully replastered and finished with a new en suite.

Working in a building of this age means dealing with uneven walls, low ceilings and original features that cannot be replaced. It is the kind of renovation that needs a builder who understands older properties.

A full renovation and commercial fit out of a sports clubhouse and pavilion, taking a tired timber building and turning it into a facility that handles heavy daily use by teams, members and visitors.

The original dark timber cladding was stripped back and the building re-clad in natural timber. Two Build then laid a large porcelain tiled terrace running the full length of the frontage, with a channel drainage system along its edge to cope with surface water coming off the pitch side.

Internally the work covered an open plan function hall with tongue and groove panelling and hard wearing luxury vinyl flooring, a commercial kitchen with a servery hatch through to the hall, and a full set of changing rooms with slip resistant flooring, floor drainage and communal showers. Fire detection, emergency lighting and escape signage were all installed to meet commercial building standards.

Projects like this run to a fixed deadline around a club season. Two Build delivered the whole scheme to programme.

A substantial rear extension added to a detached brick property across two storeys, transforming the back of the house and significantly increasing the family's living space.

Two Build handled the full structural build. The existing rear wall was opened up, steelwork installed, and a matching brick extension built out to accommodate large format aluminium sliding and bifold doors across the full width of the ground floor. A full height glazed link was formed between the original house and the new build, and new windows were fitted throughout.

Careful brick matching to the original property was key to making the extension sit naturally rather than look like an addition.

A tired 1960s exterior clad in dated dark timber weatherboarding, completely transformed with a facade finished in natural cedar cladding and new black aluminium windows throughout.

Two Build stripped the existing cladding, re-boarded the full exterior, fitted replacement windows on all elevations and replaced the guttering, fascia and downpipes to finish the job cleanly. The original brick plinth and tiled roof were retained, tying the new cladding into the existing structure.

The result is a house that looks like it belongs in a different decade, achieved without altering the structure or the footprint.
